Eldgjá Canyon – The World’s Largest Volcanic Canyon

A dramatic hike along the canyon edges and down to the waterfall Ófærufoss. Explore fresh volcanic formations and sweeping views into one of Iceland’s most powerful geological features.

Landmannalaugar – Rhyolite Mountains & Hot Spring Valley

Colorful mountains, obsidian lava fields, geothermal activity, and iconic trails. A classic Icelandic hike starting from the highland roads north of Hólaskjól.

Grænihryggur – The Green Ridge

A photographer’s dream. Trek through black sands and geothermal landscapes to the shockingly green ridge rising from the valley floor.

Mælifell – The Green Mountain 

Visit the isolated, moss-covered cone of Mælifell and roam the black desert plains of Mýrdalssandur. One of the most surreal landscapes in Iceland. It is difficoult to approche the Green Mountain. We travel deep in to the Highland. We cross deep glacer rivers and floded area on the black sand before we reach Mælifell the Green Mountain. Lake Langisjór & Sveinstindur Summit

Hike to the summit of Sveinstindur for panoramic views over Lake Langisjór and the Vatnajökull glacier. A true “big horizon” experience.

Multi-Day Trekking Tours

Eldgjá Canyon Trek

A remote, hut-to-hut trekking adventure passing Lake Langisjór, the peak of Sveinstindur, the lava sculptures of Skælingar, and the mighty fissure of Eldgjá. Supported tour with luggage transfer and local food. This is four day supported trekking tour. This tour start with pickup in Reykjavík. It is also possible to jumb abord at Hólaskjól. Eldgjá Canyon Trek & Beyond

Extends the classic Eldgjá route deeper into hidden valleys and remote volcanic plateaus south of Vatnajökull. Ideal for trekkers looking for a longer, more immersive expedition. This tour has the same day to day itinerary as the Eldgjá Canyon trek but with extention from Hólaskjól as we continue trekking to the hut Álftavatnskrókur and Strútur hut.
